i just realized that i haven't posted in weeks...
sick (of the staying in bed, hovering over toilet, and surviving on applesauce and gingerale variety) all last week and just super busy this week (and next, when i have two presentations).

but. i got an iphone today.
now trying to figure out how to put my old sufjan stevens ringtone on it...

made a crack about my imaginary brain tumor of last thursday at dinner tonight and this is boy's response:

boy: you know my best friend in first grade had a brain tumor.
me: really??
boy: yeah, he started getting dizzy and running into door frames and stuff.
me: i do that already.
boy: then he started getting migraines so they went to see a neurologist.
me: greeeat. i had a migraine on saturday and one yesterday.
boy: i wish you had told me that.
me: unable to respond.
boy: he just went around with a bald head for a while. and a chunk taken out of his head.
...
me: charles asked if i were pregnant. i told him there was no physical way considering i was purging my uterus at that exact moment.
boy: that's exactly what philip said. "dude, she's pregnant."

neither of these options are acceptable.
i am not a fan of my body.

i almost forgot: i finished fire last night and it was amazing.
i want to crawl inside that book and stay for a while--why do books have to end??
my stack of to-reads just got heftier as r brought me some lovelies back from SIBA last week. sigh. if only i had time to read them. it's also about time to start rereading twilight and new moon before movie of latter shows up next month. many thanks to lyndedearest for securing our tickets this morning. ilovebeingagirl.

ok. commence midterm [in this case paper-writing] madness.

today went well:
made it to the library downtown [i heart linn park] and actually accomplished something
finished my book [going bovine. you should def. read it. utterlyfantastic] within 3 minutes of closing.
the register at work balanced to the penny
made the bus, and subsequently made it to dinner within an hour of everyone else...
the mariachi band at the restaurant played "the devil went down to georgia"

if only i didn't have to do homework for the rest of the weekend.
silver lining=i can finally buy fire [which has been taunting me, sitting on the counter with my name scotch-taped to it, since it came in last monday] on monday.
