two days at the beach, one at the fairhope arts & crafts festival, and only my feet are irreparably damaged by the sun: the backwards chacco "z" is now emblazoned on each until winter rolls around again. sigh. other than the burn, the beach was blissful, and i can't wait to go back in may. and june. also, i seem to have overcome my sudden and inexplicable tendency to get carsick while reading (yay!) on the way back. 150 pages and a lot of traffic later, we were back in ze ham, ready for weekly dinner with l&l, and more recently q.

on the way back home, we talked about the possibility of moving back to tuscaloosa, since matt begins working there tomorrow and i'll start school some time this summer. we came the consensus that we'd probably only lose mony on the house (not to mention moving again would be beyond painful) so it wasn't worth it, for now. out of curiosity, however, i looked at condo and house listings, and guess what i found: look familiar? that's right, this is where jane and i lived, sophomore and jr jear of college. only, it was several thousand degrees shittier and not a condo worth a little more than the house in which i currently live. unbelievable.
