in other news, we went to mobile for the weekend and i got to ride in f-i-l's new boat and witness fishing [read: actually catching fish] for the first time (apart from that guppie catfish that was smaller than the bait i was using on a failed expedition last year). the reeling in/unhooking part is kind of intense--i just fled to the bow and curled up in the seat so as to be as far away from being in the way [and from the spurting fish blood. bleh.] as possible. other firsts included seeing 3 dolphins, a shark, and squishy [among other oddly shaped jelly fish floating out in the gulf], and being 10 or so miles offshore in the gulf of mexico. in a boat [cue "i'm on a boat" here.] and fyi, that ocean is bumpy.

ReplyDeleteSorry we didn't get to come down this weekend, too. I haven't seen an actual fish caught since I was in 5th grade. That was a loooong time ago.
okay i didn't know that no curls equaled no hair!? i don't think i've ever seen his hair that short. i know it grows fast, but geez!
